Purchase requirements management (PUM) application - Purchase mode
The Purchase requirements management (PUM) application lists all purchase requirements ready for internal processing. Typical examples of where purchasing is needed is when stock is below the desired reorder point, or if Sales orders (COA) or Production work orders (PWO) can not be fulfilled due to lack of goods.
To open the Purchase requirements management (PUM) application, find Procurement in the RamBase menu and then Purchasing.
Purchase mode
The Purchase mode in the Purchase requirements management (PUM) application is used to identify purchase requirements, select suppliers, and create Purchase orders (SPO). Unlike Request mode, which is used to create Supplier quote requests (SRQ), Purchase mode is intended for situations where products are ready to be ordered from a supplier.
Purchase requirements can be viewed based on actual order requirements or inventory replenishment requirements. The application provides information about required quantities, available supply, suppliers, purchase prices, and delivery times to support the purchasing process.

Existing purchase order - If an existing Purchase order (SPO) is available in status 1 (under editing), you can select it instead of creating a new order.
Only purchase orders that meet the required conditions, such as matching supplier, location, and currency, are available for selection.

By default, the purchased quantity is assigned to the orders that generated the original purchase requirements. If the ordered quantity exceeds these requirements, for example due to a supplier's minimum order quantity, this option allows the remaining quantity to be assigned to other eligible orders.
Register on creation - Select Register on creation to automatically register the purchase order when it is created. This checkbox is only available when the Company setting (CSV) "Show Docby Popup Before Registering Purchase Order (SPO) and Change Request (SRC)" is disabled.

Existing purchase orders must meet the applicable conditions, including matching supplier, location, and currency.
Each selected product is displayed on a separate line with information such as:

The purchase quantity can be adjusted directly in this step, allowing you to override the suggested quantity calculated by RamBase.

Select attachments
The Select attachments step allows you to select or upload files to be included as attachments on the Purchase order (SPO) item.
The step contains two tabs:
Select files: Displays available files that can be selected as attachments.
My uploaded files: Displays files uploaded by the user.
Use the Type filter to narrow down the available files by file type. The file lists display information such as filename, file type, and file size. A preview is available for supported files.
Click Upload files to upload additional attachments.
Order
The Order step provides an overview of the Purchase order (SPO) to be created.
Use Split delivery to divide the purchase quantity into multiple deliveries with different requested delivery dates.
Under Select document, select Create new Purchase order to create a new Purchase order (SPO). If an eligible existing purchase order is available in status 1 (under editing), it may also be possible to add the item to that order.
Select Assign remaining to non assigned to assign purchase quantity to requirements that have not yet been assigned.
Select Register all upon creation to automatically register the purchase order when it is created. This is only available when the company setting "Show Docby Popup Before Registering Purchase Order (SPO) and Change Request (SRC)" is disabled. Once the purchasing information has been reviewed, click Create to create the Purchase order (SPO).
