Clearing

When crediting it can be advisable to conduct clearing. Clearing is the process of counterclaiming credit notes and invoices.

If the invoice and the credit note is identical there are two ways to do it:

  • Open the credited invoice and press F12 to open the action menu and choose the option Clear credit and invoice.

  • With a setup for your company these clearings may be conducted by a batch job.

Conduct clearing while handling payments
  • Make corrections in a Payment (PAY) document. The residual amount will remain as an open posting in the customer ledger.

  • Click on the yellow/red bell icon in the Pay Management (PAM) receivables folder.
