Bookkeeping in RamBase when the salaries are remitted from the payroll system

When the salaries are remitted from the payroll system, a manual General Ledger posting (ATR) must be created in RamBase. This posting is based on details from the payroll system. The payment transactions from the payroll system are included in the manual ATR, which means that no payment documents (PAY) are created in RamBase. This results in payment transactions registered in the General Ledger (GL), but not registered in the cash management system (PAY). This will give a deviation in the accounting period register (PAR) when the period is to be closed.

The deviation in PAR must be verified and reconciled with the manual ATR posting.

Compare the postings in the GL with the deviation in PAR
  1. To open the General Ledger: ATR-Items (ATRLIST) application, find Finance in the RamBase menu and then General ledger. Click General ledger details to enter the ATRLIST application.

  2. Filter on the period to be closed.

  3. Set the transaction type to PERWAG.

  4. Set the correct account number (AccNo). One bank account for payment and one for tax.

The filter may look like this: ATRLIST;TRANS="PERWAG*",ACCNO:1950

If the total amount of the payment transactions is equal to the deviation shown in the accounting period register (PAR), the cash management system is reconciled, and the deviation in PAR can be reconciled.
