User admittance

All RamBase users must be assigned to a role in order to perform tasks in the system. Roles can be created from role templates provided by RamBase or defined from scratch to suit your company’s needs. When creating a role from a template, you have the option to keep the role synchronized with the template. This means any updates made to the template will automatically apply to the synchronized role. Alternatively, you can choose to decouple the role from the template and customize it independently.

This process can result in

  • users gaining access to relevant functionality in the system through their assigned roles.

To protect RamBase from unauthorized access, functionality is protected by permissions. E.g. to view a sales order requires one permission, to create a sales order requires another permission.

All functionality in the system is grouped to enable users to perform different work tasks—such as maintaining the sales order backlog. In RamBase, a work task is defined as a duty. Permissions are assigned to the relevant duties, and these assignments are referred to as privileges. A duty can consist of one or more privileges that cover the permissions needed to perform the task.

A role is a group of related duties. When a user is assigned to a role, they automatically gain access to the relevant functionality in RamBase.

Sales Assistant is one of the role templates provided by RamBase. This template includes duties that cover all the work tasks a sales assistant typically performs.

To use RamBase, all users must be assigned to at least one role.

  • Reactivate role - If a role is deactivated in your system, it is possible to reactivate it.
