Group Work Order Operations (GWOO)
The Group Work Order Operations (GWOO) application is used to group multiple Work order operations (WOO) together. This enables you to start, pause, stop or complete all the WOO in the group simultaneously.
How to group Work Order Operations
Some settings must be enabled in Production resources (RESCONFIG) for WOO to be grouped. You can also enable the distribution of operation time to the grouped WOO. For more information, refer to Production resources (RESCONFIG) application.
Choose the desired resource. The work order operations in Status ST:2 and ST:3, which are not grouped are displayed.
Select Add new group to create a new group. The group is named automatically in the format DD.MM.YYYY - Group N, for example 23.05.2020 - Group. The number after Group is based on a sequence which is reset on a daily basis.
The list to the right is empty, because the group is new. Highlight the desired work orders in the left grid, or use the box in the top right column to choose all available, and select Assign to group.
The list to the right is now populated with work orders, which can be run simultaneously by selecting Run group. The group is available for more additions in ST:1, and is set to ST:4 when the work order operations are started.
How to group work order operations in sequence
The Sequence groups tab is a type of group that allows you to group work order operations and run them one after another sequentially. You can reorder the work orders operations in the sequence. The production planner may rename the Group work order operation (GWOO), enter a description, set a priority for the whole sequence group and change order of work order operations inside the sequence by using drag and drop in the Sequence groups tab. The priority numbers that have already been taken will not show up in the Priority drop down menu. The group of Work order operations (WOO) can be viewed in the Production work order operations (RWOO) application by clicking the View group tab. The order of the work order operations within the sequence can be seen in the Work order operations (WOO) application by selecting the Show sequence checkbox.
The Company setting (CSV), Sort work order operations by group (GWOO) priority, will change default sorting of work order operations in RWOO application. When this setting is turned on, the jobs will be sorted by High priority, followed by sequences groups Priority number, then thirdly by order of work order operation inside the sequence group and finally by Planned start date.
