The Warehouse menu

The warehouse menu is used for registering goods into stock, out of stock and counting the stock. It list three different options. Press the corresponding number of the desired choice.

Goods In

When registering incoming goods, you will use the Goods In option. There are two fields, Stockloc and Docid.

  1. Start by scanning the STOCKLOC, and confirm the location if required. The user will be asked to confirm the current STOCKLOC if it is not found on any existing Goods Reception (SSA) documents.

  2. Scan the DOCID on the SSA-items stock label. The current STOCKLOC is copied to the STOCKLOC field on the SSA. If the SSA has ITMST: 2, the SSA-item will be forwarded to ST:3.

  3. To print a new stock label for the current SSA-item, press Ctrl+P.

Depending on the settings defined for the company, there will be an error message if the user attempts to scan the same STOCKLOC twice.

Goods Out

The Goods Out option is used for stock location correction. You will be presented with the same two options as in Goods In, Stockloc and Docid.

  1. Scan STOCKLOC.

  2. Scan DOCID on SSA-label. If the current location is listed among the STOCKLOC field on the SSA, it will be removed from the StockLoc field on the SSA.

  3. To print a new stock label for the current SSA-item, press Ctrl+P.

Count Goods

The count goods menu lists two different alternatives related to the stock confirmation, Spot Test and Spot and Count.

Spot Test

The Spot test is used to create HHT documents for counting goods. There are two fields, Stockloc and Docid.

  1. Scan STOCKLOC

  2. Scan DOCID

A HHT-document in ST:2 is created in RamBase and the scanned stock location is added to the SSA item with revision. All stock locations on a SSA are added to the HHT STOCKLOC table.

The user may proceed with the next SSA document, or scan a new STOCKLOC. The Warehouse Control program in RamBase shows the HHT documents that have been created. Type RFHHT in the program field and press ENTER to open the application.

To print a SSA label for the current DOCID, press Ctrl+P on the HHT.

Spot and Count

Spot and Count is used for stock correction when the HHT documents have already been created.

To create the HHT document, type HHTCREATE into the program field in RamBase and press ENTER.

  1. The PID needs to be inserted for all actions.

  2. Choose the desired mode in the mode drop down menu. The choices are AREA, ART and SSA:

    1. AREA: The area of the warehouse. The specific destination is defined in the From/To fields. The first value in the Stockloc field on an SSA item will be the value matched with the To/From fields, and thus the base of the stocktaking document. Any location value after any commas in the Stockloc fields will be ignored by RamBase.

    2. ART: If there is a specific Article to be checked, this mode is choses. The article is defined in the IT number field. The IT number is the number after the # in RamBase.

    3. SSA: This mode is for counting all the goods on a specific SSA. The SSA is defined in the SSA field.

  3. Press the Create HHT documents button to create the document.

    • If you want to check the creation of the HHT documents: Type RFHHT to open the Warehouse Control menu. Find the desired document, highlight it and press ENTER.

  4. Open Spot and Count on the HHT.

The screen displays the following options:

  1. Docid: The ID of the related document.      

  2. Part: The part number.

  3. NetQty: The remaining quantity on the SSA.

  4. Stockloc: The location of the stock.

  5. Qty on Loc: The quantity in the warehouse.

  6. Sum count: The counted quantity.

  7. The SSA reference, part number and location are available on the screen.

  8. Count the stock and enter the counted quantity.

  9. Press ENTER for next.

  10. The related HHT document will receive ST:9 and the text SSA counted.

If there is a deviation, the related HHT document will go to ST:4 and a Goods Transfer (STW) document is created.

If  no HHT document is found, a new document is created in status 2. The scanned stock location is added to the SSA item with revision, if the field is empty. All stock locations on a SSA are added to the HHT STOCKLOC table.

SSA Stocklock shows all STOCKLOCs on the SSA. STOCKQTY shows the amount of goods not picked or shipped from the SSA. Counted Qty shows qty that are registered in HHT.
